I have never liked calling myself a 'writer'. It always seemed so limited. Sure, I do write words on a page both figuratively and literally - but I have never felt like that is where it ends. It's only one piece of the puzzle.

Yeah, this is a horrible introduction.

Look, for a book, putting words to a page may be enough. There's a science and a craft to it, but at the end words on a page is all that's required there. There are other tales we come across, though, aren't there? Audiobooks, movies, shows, games - these all have stories... They are stories, too. They use more than words to tell them, don't they?

That in-between is what I'm all about. I'm fixated on the whole package. The detail. How a camera angle helps tell the tale in a given scene or how music adds what words can't when a player has to choose what button to press or even which colors are used in the presentation of a flashback. All these things are part of telling the story.

I want to be more than a writer. I want to be involved in the presentation of it to the audience through various methods. I want to build and create experiences with these stories.

And I want to use some space here to explore it. That's where it's at. Whether rambling about details in our own stories or looking into the makings of other regarded tales.
